

He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. When he wasn’t working, he loved to be outdoors. He was also one of the First Custom Big Balers with Dwayne Manser, owned a bar/café, ran a Flea Market, and sold Live Bait and Taxidermy, just to name a few. He had a main crew of Jim Reeves and their boys. For many years, he was a self-employed carpenter. He worked in the lumber business at Paxton, Sutherlands, and Pella Corp. In later years, they also had foxes and rat terriers. The couple lived on a farm south of Lacona for most of their married life, raising cattle and hogs. To this union, they were blessed with three sons: Jeff, Ed, and David. After high school, Leo served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in France and Germany. He grew up in Lacona where he graduated from Lacona High School in 1954. Memorials may be made to the Lacona American Legion. A luncheon will be held at the Lacona Community Center following interment. Interment with military honors will follow at the Newbern Cemetery.

Family will receive friends an hour prior from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona, Iowa. Services for Leo Seuferer, 86, will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
